After some testing on the development plattform the Bridge module is now officially released to the public. So this post will give you a quick overview how it works. It meets the Twitter API specifications and access granting is done by OAuth. No need to worry about your twitter account credentials, thanks to OAuth they dont need to be stored in socialhams database.
To gain access to Twitter you have to navigate to your socialhams account page. You will find the "Bridge authorization" block there. By clicking on "Authorize Twitter access" you will be forwarded to Twitter to authorize the socialhams app.
After successfull authorization you can crosspost between socialhams and Twitter as follows:
- Crossposting from Twitter to socialhams is as easy as adding the hashtag #socialhams to your tweet
- that tweet is used to update your status message on socialhams
- A status message update on socialhams is automatically posted to your Twitter timeline
- an added #socialhams hashtag helps to identify the source of that tweet
To revoke the Twitter access just have to navigate to your socialhams account page again. You will find a link named "Revoke Twitter access" in the "Bridge authorization" block to revoke your access granting.

Nach mehreren Tests auf der Development Plattform wurde heute das Brücken Modul offiziell veröffentlicht. Der nachfolgende Post erklärt dir wie du es benutzen kannst. Das Module entstpricht den Twitter API Spezifikationen und die Zugriffberechtigungen werden mittels OAuth realisiert. Du musst dir um deine Twitter Logindaten keine Sorgen machen, danke OAuth müssen diese nicht in der socialhams Datenbank abgelegt werden.
Um den Zugriff auf Twitter freizugeben müsst du auf deine socialhams Konto Seite navigieren. Dort findest du den Block "Brücken Berechtigung". Mit dem Klick auf "Twitter Zugriff authorisieren" wirst du zu Twitter weitergeleitet um die socialhams app zu authorisieren.
Nach erfolgreichen Authorisierung kannst du die Crosspost Funktion wie folgt verwenden:
- Um Nachrichten von Twitter nach socialhams durchzureichen füge einfach das Hashtag #socialhams deinem Tweet hinzu
- dieser Tweet wird zur Aktualisierung deiner Stauts Nachricht auf socialhams verwendet
- Eine Aktualisierung deiner Status Nachricht auf socialhams wird automatisch an deine Twitter Timeline gepostet
- der Nachricht wird das #socialhams Hashtag angefügt um die Herkunft feststellen zu können
Um den Zugriff auf Twitter zu wiederrufen musst du wieder auf die socialhams Konto Seite navigieren. Du wirst dort den Link "Twitter Zugriff wiederrufen" im Block "Brücken Berechtigung" finden um den Zugriff aufzuheben.
