Ham radio operators and electronics enthusiasts will gather at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown Saturday, April 21, for the annual Amateur Radio & Electronics Expo. The event, often referred to as a hamfest, features equipment displays, demonstrations and forums that focus on advances in technology and radio communications.

The gates open at 6:30 a.m. for the flea market, and doors to the expo open at 7:30. Admission is $5.

CBers, electronics hobbyists, boaters and everyone who has an interest in communications and electronics are welcome to attend this yearly event. Electronics equipment, accessories, parts and related items will be offered for sale by several national companies and by vendors in the outdoor flea market.

Other highlights include a police K-9 demonstration, which has become one of the expo’s family highlights, free blood pressure screening provided by Beebe Medical Center and free door prizes. Delicious Delmarva grilled chicken lunches will be available.

The event benefits the Sussex Technical High School student Amateur Radio Club and the Sussex Amateur Radio Association. Follow the event on Facebook at Delmarva Amateur Radio & Electronics Expo.
